Commissioned by the Foundation Rezero , INSTA has prepared a report to analyze the regulatory framework for waste from tobacco consumption, especially butts. The study compared the Catalan, state and European legislative framework, while analyzing examples of regulation in certain areas. The study has also analyzed the legal fit of certain measures for the prevention of this waste, such as the establishment of tobacco-free areas in vulnerable areas, the establishment of sanctions, the application of a return system , others. These measures were analyzed after receiving the results of a survey asking about the acceptance of certain measures.
