Project Description

As part of the training organized by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation, entitled “Towards the ecological transformation of international cooperation”, aimed at the Catalan sector of development cooperation, INSTA has held an introductory workshop on environmental law, tools and instruments to substantiate cooperation interventions in the field of cooperation and the environment.

In the training module, INSTA reviews how environmental law is structured at different scales: international, national, regional and local. The main international agreements and conventions on the environment were also reviewed. The training was continued, reviewing the main principles that govern environmental law, the interpretation of the right to nature and the right to a healthy environment. Aspects such as the rights of participation and environmental information, the rights of indigenous peoples, the protection of environmentalists, among others, were also worked on.
