Within the framework of our ongoing project “Environmental Dialogue for the Future of All” (funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya, Call for Unique Projects 2023), we will organize the Training Conference “How do we facilitate environmental dialogue? Practical tools and communication skills”, with the aim of offering a broad perspective on different basic tools and techniques to promote environmental dialogue in situations of tension or conflict, participatory processes, dialogue tables… in order to facilitate its successful and positive management.
These conferences, which have the collaboration of the Network for Nature Conservation (XCN), will be held in person on April 15 and 22, 2024 (from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) at the Casal de Barri Pou de la Figuera , located at C. Sant Pere Més Baix, 70, Barcelona. Both sessions will be facilitated by Aidà Almirall Serra and Lola Montejo Cunilleras from Tésera Mediació.
The training activity is free , but it is essential to register in advance by filling out the following form:

Content of the conferences
Day 1: Where can we use environmental dialogue?
– Conflicts (characteristics, the impact of interpersonal conflicts in organizations. interpersonal dynamics: escalation and de-escalation, different ways of approaching them.
– Analysis of the conflicts set (multi-causal, multi-party, territorial) Background, relationships, dynamics and possible scenarios in order to identify opportunities.
– Design of effective conversations: conditions for sustainable dialogues in participatory processes, dialogue tables, etc.
– Spaces to share real situations and practice
Day 2: Tools and skills
– Components of communication: language, emotionality and corporeality.
– Train communication skills to design effective conversations that lead to collaboration and agreement
– Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Premises, empathetic listening, judgments and communication model: observation of facts, feelings, needs and requests
– Trust. The circle of agreement and how to do it sustainably.
– Spaces to share real situations and practice
