The City of Culture (Santiago de Compostela) hosted the working day “Dialogues for a Renewable Galicia”, which brought together nearly 20 representatives of companies, universities, public administrations and social organizations linked to energy to advance the design of a communication and social participation protocol in the processes of deploying renewable energy initiatives.
The meeting was organized by REDS-SDSN Spain, Eudemon Project and INSTA – Serveis Jurídics Ambientals, within the framework of the project “Renewables with the Territory: a shared vision”, and had the collaboration of the Juana de Vega Foundation, the Galician Wind Observatory, the Renovables Foundation and CISPAC. During the session, key issues such as the identification of actors, territorial delimitation, deadlines, the role of professional mediation, levels of participation and expectations of agreements were discussed.
The participants agreed that participation must be authentic and not limited to superficial or merely informative dynamics.
